“1. Each State Party shall ensure that education and information regarding the prohibition against torture are fully included
in the training of law enforcement personnel, civil or military, medical personnel, public officials and other persons who may be
involved in the custody, interrogation or treatment of any individual subjected to any form of arrest, detention or imprisonment.
2. Each State Party shall include this prohibition in the rules or instructions issued in regard to the duties and functions of
any such person.”

“1. Each State Party shall ensure that the training of law enforcement personnel, civil or military, medical personnel,
public officials and other persons who may be involved in the custody or treatment of any person deprived of liberty includes
the necessary education and information regarding the relevant provisions of this Convention, in order to:
(a) Prevent the involvement of such officials in enforced disappearances;
(b) Emphasize the importance of prevention and investigations in relation to enforced disappearances;
(c) Ensure that the urgent need to resolve cases of enforced disappearance is recognized.
2. Each State Party shall ensure that orders or instructions prescribing, authorizing or encouraging enforced disappearance
are prohibited. Each State Party shall guarantee that a person who refuses to obey such an order will not be punished.”
