number less than one-third of the total number of the existing

members of both Houses, have the right to lodge a request with
the President of the National Assembly for a Royal Decree to call
a meeting of the National Assembly as an extraordinary session

(Section 123, first paragraph).

3) Consideration of the draft law

3.1 Consideration of general bills. The Senate is responsible
for considering bill from the House of Representatives and must
complete the consideration of the proposed bill within 60 days.

However, if the bill is a money bill, it must be considered within
30 days (Section 136, first paragraph). If the Senate has not

completed the consideration of the bill within the period according
to paragraph one, it shall be deemed that the Senate has approved
the bill (Section 136, third paragraph).

3.2 Consideration of fiscal budget bills. After the
consideration of the House of Representatives comes to the

Senate’s consideration, the Senate must approve or reject the bill
within 20 days of the arrival date of the bill to the Senate. In such

case, no amendments may be made. After the expiration of such
period, the Senate shall be deemed to have approved such bill
(Section 143, third paragraph). If the Senate rejects the bill, the

provisions of Section 138, second paragraph shall be applied by
allowing the House of Representatives to immediately reconsider

(Section 143, fourth paragraph).
