3. Analyzing the roles of the Senate in

accordance with the Constitution of the
Kingdom of Thailand, B.E. 2560 [2017] on

enhancing and developing the strength
of the political system and democracy of

Thailand

The roles of the Senate in accordance with the
Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand, B.E. 2560 [2017] affecting

the development of democracy and efficiency in performing duties
included in the constitution determines that senators must not be

under the control of any political party (Section 113). Senators must
not exercise their status or Senate position to act in a manner that
interferes with or intervenes for their own benefits, benefits of others,

or benefits of their political party directly or indirectly (Section 185).
In addition, a senator must not have the following characteristics:

(1) Not holding any position or duty in any government

agency, state enterprises, local government council member or
local administrator

(2) Not accepting or interfering with government
concessions, government agencies or state enterprises or

entering into a contract with a state, government agency, or state
