These things show that efforts have been made to
define the roles, duties, and powers of senators to be impartial
and independent in performing their duties for maximum efficiency.
However, factors affecting the performance of the Senate’s duties
include the presence of mechanisms for sanction and monitoring.
According to the study, it was found that in the case of Thailand,
the Senate’s role in considering a bill is prudent, accurate, and
quite effective, as can be seen from the number of bills considered
by the Senate each year. As for the performance of their duties
as the Audit Committee, it was found that there are still problems
with sanctions and monitoring activities of other organizations
or individuals to whom the Senate submitted suggestions or
objections to take action.
