submitting it to the President of the National Assembly (Section 236).

6) Authority in the transitional provisions of the first group of

Senators.

The first 250 appointed senators, in accordance with the rules

and procedures set out in Section 269 have the following duties:

1. Follow up, recommend, and expedite national reform

to achieve the goals of Chapter 16: Politics and Reform and the
formulation and implementation of the National Strategy.

2. Consider the bills to be enacted for the implementation of

Chapter 16: National Reform by presenting and considering at a joint
session of the National Assembly.

3. In the case where senators have opinions that any bill
that the senate was not notified by the Cabinet of Thailand is a bill to

be enacted for the implementation of Chapter 16: National Reform,
a request to the President of the National Assembly is submitted for
reconsideration and decision by not less than one-fifth of the members

of each House. The submission of the said request must be submitted
before the House of Representatives or the Senate has completed the

consideration of the bill (Section 270).
