Fire. The incident took place after a group of men launched attacks on

military and police checkpoints in Yala, Pattani, and Songkhla on the early
morning of April 28, 2004. One of these locations was the Ban Krue Se

Checkpoint in Tanyong Lulo Subdistrict, Mueang Pattani District, Pattani
Province. Attackers fled to the Krue Se Mosque, where people were

at prayer. Soldiers and police surrounded the mosque before deciding
to end the incident by force, resulting in more than 30 deaths at the

scene in addition to others through the area, with a total of 109 deaths.

process must be easy, convenient, safe, and economical. The question

of safety is raised when entering the justice process. Compensation of
4 million and 7 million is not a cure. Bringing the officials responsible for

violations to trial is the real remedy.

Inequality in the justice process in the southern border provinces

of Thailand still exists today, such as murders without trials, extrajudicial
