Abstract

Gender recognition laws have been actively developed in Thailand
for a substantial amount of time. Therefore, it is necessary to study the

impact on various aspects of the lives of individuals protected by gender
recognition laws in Argentina, Malta, and Iceland. This study aims to

provide insights that can be applied or adapted to promote gender
recognition laws in Thai society. The research employed a documentary

research method, using primary data from legal documents and secondary
data from academic sources spanning the past 10 years (2012-2022).

Documents were collected in electronic format, translated, and categorized,
with the content selected as relevant to the objectives. The analysis was

conducted on subtopics, main topics, and contexts.

The study results reveal various considerations that can serve

as lessons for improving the implementation of the mentioned laws in
Thailand. These considerations include legal impacts, such as recognizing

gender for minors, non-binary individuals, and gender recognition for refugees/
immigrants. Additionally, they address the implementation by both the

government and the private sector, including the recognition of gender
identity for citizens, nationals, and foreign nationals. Other considerations
