region and each province is. These include visualizing the conflict management altogether in

order to move forward in a creative way and change the current of “conflict” into an atmosphere
of “co-operation” to develop the country strongly and sustainably. The details of this phase
focus on various conflict projects in the environment in the northeastern and southern regions.

Conducted by The Office of Peace and Governance, King Prajadhipok’s Institute, Conflict
Mapping Thailand Phase 4 recognizes the importance of exploring the knowledge of conflict
management in society to provide information on the causes, conflicting parties, significance of
problem, and the current state of conflict across the country. Especially important conflict issues

and is an opportunity for interested people in each region to realize the importance of the arising
conflict from various projects according to the government’s approaches. The database in the area
is established systematically to create the body of knowledge of conflict that allows people to
participate concretely and to really benefit from the use of information. Therefore, the researchers

have applied the concept to survey, study, collect and gather information on conflict issues arising
from or resulted from the implementation of various development projects according to
government policies in all regions of the country through Appreciation and Understanding on the

conflict situation. This is the area-based research studying and analyzing the Roots of conflict,
Dynamics of conflict, and the used conflict management approaches as well as proposing the
alternatives for constructive conflict management in the future and summarizing the conflicting
issues which are important and urgent problems in each area. People can jointly further and support
the research to solve problems in the area and develop that local area effectively and concretely

in the future.
