we found that these organizations tend to support politicians, preferably local people, who work

closely with the people in the area. Private sector organizations support politicians who provide
assistance when local people come seeking help with their problems. We also have found that

organizations are prepared to support politicians who share similar interests, and local people,
working closer with them and regularly supporting their activities. The local politicians must live

in Sakeaw and know people’s problems in this area. If they only work here but have never lived
here, then people cannot reach them, which means they do not work closely with the people.

These private sector organizations have only focused on benefits of Sakeaw so the relationships
between private sector, which are stakeholders in the election in Sakeaw, and politicians have

not shown direct electioneering support. Private sector groups will support political groups or
politicians who can give benefits to them as Sakeaw has a trade border that needs to be peaceful

and stable in order to create trade and investment advantages for the area. As Sakeaw is
an agricultural province, they will support the politicians who have policies that benefit farmers,

and do not need politicians who just give speeches with their heads in the clouds. As Sakeaw
is a developing province, and therefore needs someone who is practical, reachable, and never

abandons the people. They also support the candidates who have beneficial ideas and work with
government in order to get the budget for developing and supporting their provinces.

                          4. Political behavior of people who live in Sakeaw Province is usually shown to be the

same way as that of people elsewhere around the country. National factors and political factors in
this area are the keys to success. The people are interested in both national and provincial politics.

It can be seen that national politics affects the way of life for people who live here because
Sakeaw is located in a border trading zone. Political stability is an important factor for confidence

of traders and investment of entrepreneurs. The people also focus on local politics because the
province is home to Burapha Command and barracks, which connect to the National Council for

Peace and Order (NCPO), and political polarization has been changing the group of ascendant
politicians who control Sakeaw for a long time. People think this change could have an effect on

the political direction and their social system, which has been controlled by the ascendant family
in Sakeaw. When the royal decree for a general election was issued, it drew the attention of the

public. People here think that other political groups should be elected. The following are related
                  factors we have studied;
