In other words, regarding the attitudes and trends of decision-making before the election
day (one to six weeks before the election day), comparing the time before the election and the
scores, there were changes in only three of the ten constituencies. Therefore, it was interpreted
that the candidates’ various campaign activities (legal and illegal according the election law) had
impacts on people’s decision-making and voting behavior in some areas of Ubon Ratchathani.
Yet, these people were considered the minority.
2) The budget spent for the election of MPs in Ubon Ratchathani is worth mentioning.
It was monitored by the Election Commission (EC) of Ubon Ratchathani. However, only the details
concerning budgets of candidates from political parties that were expected to win the election could
be found, ; such as the candidates from Pheu Thai Party, Palang Pracharath Party, the Democrat
Party, Future Forward Party, and Bhumjaithai Party, and illegal expenses without documented
proof were not included or confirmed by the EC.
The total budget of the candidates from Pheu Thai Party was 10,313,914.40 baht.
On average, each candidate of the party spent 1,031,391.44 Baht. Worasit Kantinan in
Constituency 1 spent the most money, which was 1,264,562.07 Baht. He was elected as an MP.
The total budget of the candidates from Palang Pracharath Party was 9,976,017.49 Baht.
On average, each candidate spent 997,501.75 Baht. Prajak Saengkham in Constituency 10 spent
the most money, which was 1,316,972.55 Baht, but he was not elected as an MP.
The total budget of the candidates from the Democrat Party was 6,279,476 Baht.
On average, each candidate spent 627,948 Baht. Wuttipong Nambutr in Constituency 2 spent
the most money, which was 1,320,000 Baht, and he was elected as an MP.
The total budget of the candidates from Future Forward Party was 7,076,256.45 Baht.
On average, each candidate spent 707,625 Baht. Sathaphon Siyaem in Constituency 3 spent the
most money, which was 1,386,840.60 Baht. He was not elected as an MP.
The total budget of the candidates from Bhumjaithai Party was 6,477,480.40 Baht.
On average, each candidate spent 647,749.04 Baht. Saeng Sibura in Constituency 8 spent the
most, which was 1,051,389.64 Baht, but he was not elected as an MP.
3) With regard to the changes of the political alliance and party-switching by former
