using their buildings. Sometimes, the permission to employ the building for political speeches was

withdrawn. Some local administrations helped only some candidates from some political parties
for their campaigns. In addition, there were times when the state officers such as the policemen

and military officers sought the houses of the canvassers in Constituencies 5 and 7 between
                  20 and 21 March 2019.

The key recommendations from the research with regard to the methods, strategies,

and effects of the election under the new constitution in Ubon Ratchathani are that there were
limitations in setting the plan for the budget, and designing the forms and the methods to look

for resources in running the political campaigns. The forms and methods over the report on the
situation before the election day were not in line with what actually happened in different areas.

The cost of travel was also different. That resulted in the attempts to falsify documents so that
incorrect and hence illegal concerning spending would not be found.

Finally, what has just been mentioned will be the obstacles and hence hinder the chances

of candidates who run political campaigns. These things would further be obstacles for voters
who want to express their desires to the candidates. More channels to exchange data with the
people in every area should be facilitated. The voters can compare and contrast information with

different areas to make their decisions in the election. This is necessary for a democratic election.

Other recommendations are that the people would like to have the two ballots as there
used to be. The first one would be to elect the MP in the constituency and the second for the

political party. This allows the people to elect their representatives and their preferred political party.
The voters could possibly vote for their preferred candidate and at the same time vote another

party to form the government. Another recommendation is to allow the people and the political
parties’ representatives to monitor the performance of the Provincial Election Commission, as the

election is held. Every step would be aired through the internet channel.
