One time, I was on my way from the city of Paris out

to the airport and I needed a hair cream, a tube of hair cream.
I had to stop on the way at a pharmacy and I zoomed into
the shop, a guy was almost closing the shop, I said I need a

hair cream because the next day I have to go to a meeting in
                 Singapore and the guy said;

“I have just what you want, one tube left and if you
do not take this, you’re going to be sorry. It was great, I have
used it, so here it is.”

Ok I had no choice, I had to buy it so I paid and

the cheerleader and the enthusiasm of the champion, you
have to take that with a bit of caution.

But anyway, here in Southeast Asia, if ASEAN has not
existed, ASEAN would have to be invented. Why would I say

that? Because the ten countries in this part of the world would
need a forum, a platform that would be suitable and appropriate

to their size and their separate identity and their unique and
very different and diverse characteristics. When it was born in
1967, it was born with the backdrop of a larger drama going

on around the world and that drama was the enthusiasm
about independence and about decolonization. You remember

that 1967 was ten years after the Bandung conference and
