                 3. A Comparative Case Study of Thailand: Medical Practitioners
                 and Engineering Services

                          As the different approaches to MRAs affect

                 implementation outcomes at the national level. This part will
                 provide comparative evidence of Thailand adoption of ASEAN

                 obligations in order to analyse an implementation outputs as
                 a result of such different regional policy implications. By way
                 of a comparative study, this paper selected the case of MRAs

                 concerning medical practitioners and engineering services due to
                 the fact that these two professions are the regulated professions

                 under some specific laws and regulatory bodies in Thailand.

                 3.1. Mutual Recognition of Medical Practitioners

                          The ASEAN Joint Coordinating Committee on Medical

                 Practitioners (AJCCM) is the committee under the Healthcare
                 Services Sectoral Working Group (HSSWG) that discusses matters
