Practitioners. According to the MRA, any Medical Practitioners

(MP) holding a valid medical license of his/her country of
origin, can apply for registration to practice medicine in other
countries within the community and will be known as a foreign
MP. However, such a foreign MP will be still subject to all local
domestic regulations set forth by the professional medical
regulatory authority of the host country. 56
In this regard, MP refers to a natural person who has
completed the required professional medical training and
conferred the professional medical qualification; and has
been registered and/or licensed by the Professional Medical
Regulatory Authority in the Country of Origin as being technically,
ethically and legally qualified to undertake professional medical

practice. Foreign MP registration process involves registering
and/or certifying and/or licensing of the MP within a jurisdiction
