106 ENHANCING ELECTIONS AS INSTRUMENTS OF DEMOCRACY IN THE ASEAN REGION
Representatives, the Leader of the Opposition in the House
of Representatives, one person selected at a General
Meeting of the Supreme Court of Justice and one person
selected at a General Assembly of Judges of the Supreme
Administrative Court.
(2) The Selection Committee is to be in charge of the selection
of three persons, who have the qualifications under Article
230 and who are suitable to be Election Commissioners,
for their nomination to the President of the Senate upon
the consent of the nominated persons.
(3) The Supreme Court of Justice shall, at its General Meeting,
consider and select two persons who have the qualifications
under Article 230 and who are suitable to be Election
Commissioners, for nomination to the President of the
Senate upon the nominees’ consent.
(4) The President of the Senate shall convoke the Senate for
passing, by secret ballot, a resolution approving the selected
persons under Sections (1), (2) and (3). If the Senate rejects
all or some of the nominees, the list of nominees shall be
referred back to the Selection Committee for the Election
Commissioners or the General Meeting of the Supreme
Court of Justice, as the case may be, to begin the selection
process anew. The Selection Committee for the Election
Commissioners or the General Meeting of the Supreme Court
of Justice may resolve to reaffirm the original resolution
