                   Executive Summary

Argentina, Malta, and Iceland enacted and enforced gender
recognition laws in 2012, 2015, and 2019, respectively. Meanwhile,
Thailand has also initiated efforts to advance such laws across various

sectors, including political parties, civil society, and the Ministry of

Social Development and Human Security. However, social sentiment
in Thailand still lacks awareness, understanding, or clarity in supporting
gender recognition laws. Therefore, it is important to study the legal

impacts, government and private sector implementations, as well as

the rights, society, culture, and quality of life of individuals protected by
gender recognition laws in Argentina, Malta, and Iceland. This research
can be valuable for potential adaptation or advocacy of such laws in

            Thai society.
