causing fatigue and increasing the time required for vote counting. Reporting from ICT systems
was unstable, causing the systems to crash. Voters were confused because there were so many
candidates that voters could not remember relevant information. Eligible voters could not
find their names on the voter lists and also could not remember candidate numbers or party
logos. The election processes were monitored by representatives from embassies, international
organizations, and community organization councils.
2. Activities and political behavior of candidates. In Suphan Buri Provience,
there were three political party branches. Most of the candidates were male, aged between
51-60 years old, and resided in Suphan Buri. Most candidates were members of politically
prominent families, and some candidates wanted to change politics. They sought votes using
party policy identification, slogans, and personal relationships. Information was disseminated
through various media including technology media. This election caused a big battle between
Mr. Prapat Photasuthon and Mr. Jongchai Thiangtham.
3. Political behavior patterns of people. It was found that 77.25 percent of people
were interested in voting because it had been a long time since the last general election.
Mr. Sorachat Sujit, Mr. Natthawut Prasertsuwan, Mr. Prapat Photasuthon, and Mr. Samakkan
Thiangtham, from Chart Thai Pattana won the election in their respective constituencies
because of the continuing political work of the Silpa-archa family, and people’s faith in the late
Mr. Banharn Silpa-archa. Eligible voters went to the polls because of the election news, the law,
the influence of leaders in the community, and the love towards leaders/leaders of political
parties. However, voters decided to choose MPs based on the party’s policy.
Based on the research, it is suggested that there should be a manual for the election
rules, a system to support the reporting of election results by using modern technology, and
clear information on the ballots.
