                                                    Executive Summary



                         A podcast is a new form of media that provides contents in the form of audio talks
                  accessible  through  the  internet.   At  present,  podcasts  are  used  as  part  of  political

                  communication by the media and educational organizations, including academics, politicians,

                  and the public.


                         Fake news is currently a major problem with significant political impact affecting all
                  forms  of  news  media.   For  instance,  spreading  incorrect  information  may  alter  people’ s

                  decisions during election time. Additional ethical issues include the use of dark net for financial

                  crimes, sex crimes, and drug-related crimes.   Another problem  that arises through online
                  communication  is  cyberbullying,  which  has  a  direct  psychological  impact  on  the  victims.

                  Moreover, an excess information may negatively impact mental health.


                         The emergence of podcasts enables individuals to act as a platform and transmit

                  information to recipients worldwide.   It’s affordability has resulted in a significant increase in
                  the number of episodes, shows, and available podcasts today.



                         Certain startups also provide podcasts.   The podcast business has grown so much so
                  that many of the podcast companies in the United States have a high demand for acquisition.



                         Development  of podcasts  led to  the advent  of political podcasts.    This research
                  analyzes political podcasts in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Thailand.   Political

                  podcasts will be categorized based on the organizers – media organizations, educational

                  organizations,  academics,  and  politicians.   The  results  showed  that  the  major  media
                  organizations created podcasts as part of their expanding consumer base because political

                  podcasts are often popular with podcast listeners.


                         Political podcasts are diverse.   A podcast show can be hosted solely by one podcaster

                  or jointly by two or more podcasters. Many political podcasts often include invited guests who
                  are experts on a wide range of global political and societal issues from around the world, with

                  some shows focusing on domestic politics.
