4. Education and Information Department (EID)

4.1 Develops and administers continuing
campaign to educate the public and fully

inform the electorate about election and
referendum laws, decrees, procedures,

decisions and other matters related to
the work and duties of the Commission,
the obligation to register and vote, voting

qualifications and requirements, and the
necessity for free, orderly and honest

elections.
4.2 Conducts research and studies on information
needs.

4.3 Prepares reports on the conduct of
elections and Plebiscites for submission by
the Commission to Congress and to the

President of the Philippines.

5. Election Records and Statistics Department (ERSD)

5.1 Provides for the safekeeping, maintenance,
control and disposition of election records of
the Commission, except the records of the

Office of the COMELEC Secretary.
5.2 Gathers, compiles, and analyzes election
statistics.
