                    Director of the Peace Resource Collaborative in Bangkok, but before that, he also was
                    a senior research fellow of the Institute of Peace Studies of the Prince of Songkla
                    University, based in… sometimes based in Hatyai, and they often set up his office in
                    Pattani Province as well. He’s connected with the Berghof Foundation in Berlin since
                    1993. He was the former director, and right now, currently in the function as the
                    senior advisor. From 2001 - 2008 he headed the Resource Network for Conflict
                    Studies and Transformation in Sri Lanka. He did a lot of conflict mapping in Sri Lanka
                    and that’s one of the tools can make sustainable peace there. Maybe he’ll share
                    something of that today. And previously, he served as the executive director of the
                    Institute for Development and Peace at the University of Duisburg. Worked at the
                    Royal Institute of International Affairs at Chatham House, London, and at the Peace
                    Research Institute in Frankfurt. The area of his interest is about practical and
                    academic work and currently focus on the support and competitive analysis peace
                    process and conflict transformation. Dr. Norbert Ropers.

                          The second of our speakers today, Dr. Achmad Munjid. He’s from Gadjah
                    Mada University. He’s working at the Department of the Intra-Culture Studies, Faculty
                    of Cultural Science, Center for Religious and Cross Cultural Studies, Gadjah Mada
                    University. He got PhD from Department of Religion, Temple University, Philadelphia,
                    United States. Before that, he also studied about Religious Studies at the Temple
                    University, Philadelphia. His research interest is about the interface dialog, religion in
                    public life, religion and violence, religion radicalism, freedom of religion, religion
                    education, sector localization, death and dying, and last but not least, world literature.
                    So, that’s our second speaker.

                          The third speaker is Professor Doctor Chantana Wankaew, from the Faculty of
                    Political Science, Chulalongkorn University. She got PhD in the Regional Planning and
                    Resources Development at the University of Waterloo. Her interest is in the political
                    development, conflict resolution, and several of her researches are from the
                    Southernmost of Thailand about globalization and the politics of identity, and also the
                    meaningful integration of human in the living economy. She wrote that article in the
                    journal of International Development Studies. One of the really recent works is
                    Transcending Transitional Security in the Southeast Asia, the relevance of people
                    agenda in managing transitional flow in East Asia. That’s the interest of Prof. Dr.
                    Chantana  Wankaew.


                          Our next speaker, Dr. Buntoon Sethasirot. Right now he’s the commissioner in
                    the Energy Regulation Commission of Thailand. He has background in Biology,
                    Environmental Science, and PhD in Political Science. Actually he’s been lately working
                    in several of Reforms Committees in Thailand. The present position is the Prime
           ª£¸›²£ª±¡¡™²¥¸h¡¢h­¢—µÈ     the Prime Minister. He’s been a member in the Committee in Environmental Reform,
                    Minister Delivery Service Specialist, and the Deputy Director of the Political Office of


                    Law Reform, Sustainable Development Forestry, and Educational Council and several
                    other reforms bodies of this current government.
