In the evening, Their Royal Highnesses went to Kyoto Okura Hotel
to have a Japanese dinner reception according to Mr.Okura’s invitation.
On this occasion, Mr.Okura offered a lacquer chest to them.
On the same day, Their Royal Highnesses received a photograph
from Prince Hirohito (Crown Prince) and his wife and sent them the
appreciation message via telegram.
On December 1, Their Royal Highnesses took a special train to
Nara and had lunch at Nara Hotel before leaving for Osaka to attend the
dinner reception according to the invitation from Chamber of Commerce.
On December 2, Their Royal Highnesses arrived in Miahima.
In the evening, the municipality and the governor invited them for
a Japanese dinner reception and offered a chest of picture books to them.
On December 3, Their Royal Highnesses arrived Shinoyoseki
and had the refreshment at Sanyo Hotel before leaving for Nagasaki.
On December 4, Their Royal Highnesses visited Unzen according
to the invitation of the Nagasaki City Council and stayed for one night.
On December 5, Their Royal Highnesses visited a hot springs and
went golfing before returning to Nagasaki. In the evening, they attended
a dinner reception according to the invitation from the governor of
Nagasaki. In the occasion, Their Royal Highnesses was offered a bathroom
set made of tortoiseshells as a souvenir.
At 10 pm, Their Royal Highnesses traveled by steamboat to
board Empress of Asia Ship leaving Nagasaki for Shanghai, Hong Kong,
Singapore, and Malaysia before returning to Siam.
