At 10.40 am, Emperor of Japan and Princess Chichibu, on behalf
of Empress, visited His Majesty King Prajadhipok and Her Majesty
Queen Rambai Barni at Kasumikaseki Palace.
From 2 to 3.30 pm, His Majesty King Prajadhipok and Her Majesty
Queen Rambai Barni allowed the Japanese royal members, Head of
Diplomatic Corps, and government officials along with their wives, to meet.
After that, they went to Hibiya Park for Hana Matsuri to see the flowers
on the day of Buddha’s birthday, Yasukuni Shrine, Meiji Shrine, and

Embassy of Siam in Tokyo, respectively.
In the evening, His Majesty King Prajadhipok and Her Majesty
Queen Rambai Barni went for a dinner reception at Imperial Palace and
the Kabuki Theater in Ginza for the play in the theme of Ramayana.
On April 9 at 10.30 am, His Majesty King Prajadhipok and
Her Majesty Queen Rambai visited Kamakura. At Kotokuin Temple,
His Majesty King Prajadhipok and Her Majesty Queen Rambai pay homage
to a famous outdoor Buddha image, observed the pine trees planted
by His Majesty King Rama VI during his visit to Japan in 1902, and
planted two pine trees as commemoration of his visit before boarding
the Empress of Japan Ship to Canada.

A ceremony was to bring a small Buddha image outside for people to worship.
The standing Buddha image was in the posture at birth with his right hand pointing
upwards (the heaven) and his left hand pointing downwards (the world) with no top and
a long cloth for a bottom.
