5. Technology Section 9 of R.A, 9369 identifies the functions of the
certification Technical Evaluation Committee, and states that the

Committee shall certify -- through an established international
certification entity to be chosen by the Commission from
the recommendations of the Advisory Council and not
later than three months before the date of the electoral

exercises -- that the AES, including its hardware and
software components, is operating properly, securely, and
accurately, in accordance with the provisions of the law.

Action point: Request for an update on the steps taken to
accomplish the required certification by the set deadline.
