relationship between democracy and the factors affecting the transformation of
security. The forum will also foster an understanding of the importance of
democratic governance in addressing the threats and challenges presented by
security issues at both national and global levels. This discussion will lead to policy
proposals to further promote a peaceful society.

2. Objectives

1) To exchange, learn and synthesize knowledge about New Security
Challenges and Democracy that appear global from academics and the expert in local
and abroad as well as other relevant sectors

2) To obtain proposals. Guidelines or methods for driving democratic
processes and policies to address the new security challenge that leads Thailand
towards a democratic society with sustainable peace.

3. Activities

The 24 KPI Congress consists of three main activities.

1) Keynote Speeches

(1) Thai keynote speech

The speaker will present thoughts on new security challenges that
affect democracy.

(2) International keynote speech

The speaker will present thoughts on aspects of security that pose
new challenges and affect democracy and how these challenges can be managed in
a democratic regime.
2) Academic Discussions

(1) International panel discussion
This discussion will reflect on new global, regional, and national
security challenges as well as the impacts on democracy.

(2) Thai panel discussion

The Thai panel discussion aims to identify the new security challenges
that Thailand faces, how they affect Thailand’s democracy, and ways to cope with
