On 11 May 1949, cordially requested by the Royal Thai Government, Queen Rambhai Barni left England
by the ocean liner, with the royal ashes of King Prajadhipok to return home.

Queen Rambhai Barni arrived Singapore on 18 May 1949. The Queen was escorted
by the Governor General to the Thai Steamer "Bhanurangsri".
