2. Objectives

1) To be a public forum for sharing knowledge and experience, and

presenting research on the changing landscape of Thailand’s democracy.

2) To present trends or directions, and provide proposals for Thailand’s
democratic development in a new landscape.

3. Activities

The 23 KPI Congress consists of four main activities.
1) Keynote speeches

1.1)
Thai

speech

The speaker will present views on the progression and contextual
changes that affect Thailand’s democracy.

1.2)
International
keynote
speech

The speaker will present views on the recent changes of democracy,
and likely directions, as well as how to achieve a balance between traditional

democracy and people’s well-being, and the security, economic, and social concerns
of the state.

2) Academic discussions

2.1)
International
panel
discussion

The international panel discussion aims to share information about the
changes in democracy at global, regional, and domestic levels, from international
perspectives.

2.2)
Thai
panel
discussion

The Thai panel discussion aims to address the various factors that
affect Thailand’s democracy, and propose how to design political institutions and

relationships in a new landscape.

3) Group discussions

Group discussions will be based on presentation of academic papers and
sharing of experiences, perspectives, articles, and specific research findings.
