26 Siam - Rising Sun Under King Prajadhipok
There were events emphasizing the close relationship between
Siam and Japan during the reign of King Prajadhipok from 1925 A.D. to
1935 A.D. The collected and compiled contents from the existing documents
including the Royal Gazette and other secondary documents such as
Daily Activity Archives of His Majesty King Prajadhipok (King Rama VII),
600 Years of Relationship between Thailand and Japan, and Special
Photograph Exhibition of Thai and Japanese Royal Family. The joint or
individual affairs between Siam and Japan were categorized as follows:
the relationship between the government sectors, the government and
the private sector, the Japanese and Siamese private sector, and Siamese
and Japanese people as follows (according to the present calendar):

1926 A.D.
• On February 13, His Majesty King Prajadhipok allowed
Mr. Hayashi Kyujiro, a new ambassador of Japan to Siam,
to address his speech and receive His Majesty the King’s
responses at Chakri Maha Prasat Throne Hall, with His Royal
Highness Prince Trithos Praphan, Chancellor of Foreign Affairs
Ministry, attending on duty.
• On February 19, His Majesty King Prajadhipok allowed
Mr. Hayashi Kyujiro, Ambassador of Japan to Siam, to offer
the Supreme Order of the Chrysanthemum on behalf of
Emperor of Japan at the Boromphiman Throne Hall.
