Dr. Ofreneo is the President of the Integrated Rural

Development Foundation (IRDF). He helped IRDF organize
a series of policy workshops on how to “rebuild a damaged
agricultural sector”, the results of which are being compiled

for submission to the Duterte Administration. He is also a co-
founder and secretary of the Climate Change Congress of the

Philippines (CCCP).

Dr. Ofreneo is also a strong advocate of Industrial Policy.

He was the founding Executive Director (2001-2007) of the Fair
Trade Alliance, a multi-sectoral labor-employer-CSO formation
waging a campaign for the renewal and strengthening of the

country’s industrial and agricultural base. He is also one of the
Convenors of the Philippine Employer-Labor Social Partnership,

Inc. (PELSPI), which believes that Philippine industry can be
more competitive if the rights of workers to decent work and
the goal of employers to higher productivity are respected and

met.

Dr. Ofreneo is a Research Fellow of the UP Center
for Integrative Development Studies (CIDS) and a volunteer

researcher consultant for the Union Network International Asia-
Pacific Regional Organization (UNI-APRO) based in Singapore.
