Prof. Woothisarn Tanchai

Secretary General of King Prajadhipok’s Institute

Professor Woothisarn Tanchai is the Secretary General of the King
Prajadhipok’s Institute, an academic institution under the supervision of the House
of Representatives. Before being the Secretary General, he served as the professor
at Thammasat University, Department of Community Development Faculty of Social
Administration. He held Master’s degrees in Public Administration from the National
Institute of Development Administration, Bangkok, and in Policy Science
(International Program) from Saitama University, Japan. Prof.Woothisarn Tanchai
also served as a committee at the Office of the Public Sector Development
Commission, and the National Anti-Corruption Commission. During 2000-2001 He
was appointed to be a Chairman of the working Group for drafting Decentralization
plan and action plan for the local Government. Later in 2007, he was appointed to
be a member of the Constitution Drafting Committee, and a Constitution Drafting
Committee member during 2014 and 2015, and was an advisor to the second
Constitution Drafting Committee in 2015 and 2016. In 2017, he was appointed as a
member of Sub-committee of the National Strategic Commission. From 2017 to

He has been appointed to served several public committees as follows:
National Strategy Development Committee on Balancing and Developing Public
Management Systems (2017-2022), Extraordinary Commission to Consider and
Study Rules and Methods for Amending the Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand
2017 (2019-2020), a member of Socio-Economic Impact Advisory Team in the
